C5290009 XCMG GR2605 motor grader fuel filter

C5290009 (also known as 5290009) is a spin-on fuel filter/water separator assembly for Cummins engines, OEM by Dongfeng Cummins (DCEC) and Fleetguard (FS36230). It integrates high-precision filtration and efficient water separation, with spin-on design, water level sensor and manual drain valve. Protects precision components (D4988595 fuel pump, injectors) by removing impurities, water and gum from diesel.

Location：

Low-pressure fuel circuit (between tank and high-pressure pump), gear housing or frame side for easy maintenance.

Filter Clogging (Insufficient Fuel Supply)

Causes：Poor fuel quality, overdue service, excessive contaminants.

Symptoms：Low power, poor acceleration, rough idle, hard start, high fuel consumption.

Solution：Replace C5290009 immediately; clean tank if needed; replace O-ring with filter.

Water Separator Alarm (High Water Content)
