Common Faults & Troubleshooting

1. Engine Overheating

Cause: Stuck closed thermostat, failed wax core, main valve unable to open
Fix: Heat the engine to 80℃ at idle, touch the temperature difference between the upper water pipe and the water tank. If the temperature difference is large and the water tank is not hot, the thermostat is invalid and should be replaced directly

2. Slow Engine Warm-up & Increased Fuel Consumption

Cause: Main valve stuck open, abnormally low opening temperature of thermostat
Fix: If the water temperature is lower than 60℃ for a long time after cold start and the warm air is not hot, replace the thermostat and check the seal of the thermostat seat

3. Coolant Leakage

Cause: Deteriorated sealing ring, deformed valve body, loose installation bolts
Fix: Check the sealing ring of the thermostat seat and replace it with the same specification; Tighten the bolts evenly to avoid partial load

4. Abnormal Noise & Vibration

Cause: Loose valve body, failed spring, impurities stuck
Fix: Remove and clean the scale and impurities in the thermostat seat; Replace the assembly if noise persists
