Suitable for Cummins 4BT, 6BT, 6CT, ISBe, ISDe, ISLe, QSB6.7 series engines, widely used in commercial vehicles like Dongfeng Tianlong, Tianjin, Dashishen, construction machinery including loaders, excavators, rollers, graders, as well as some Cummins power generator sets and stationary equipment. Mounted on side holes of engine cylinder block, flywheel housing inspection holes or process holes as a sealing cover to ensure clean and sealed environment inside the engine.
Common Faults & Troubleshooting
Deformation or breakage is usually caused by external impact, long-term high-temperature vibration or material aging, leading to poor sealing, gaps or warping, allowing dust and impurities to enter and accelerate internal wear. Replace with a new cover plate directly and check if the mounting surface is flat.
Sealing failure or oil leakage results from aging, missing gasket or poor fitting, oil seepage or dust ingress at the mounting position. Replace the sealing gasket synchronously during replacement, clean impurities on the mounting surface to ensure even fitting and fastening.
Loose or fallen bolts occur due to vibration causing fastener loosening, leading to cover displacement and sealing failure. Tighten bolts to standard torque during installation, use anti-loose washers or thread sealant if necessary, and check fastening status regularly.
Severe rust happens when galvanized layer is damaged in humid or corrosive environment, affecting sealing performance and structural strength. Replace timely and perform anti-rust treatment.
Worn mounting holes are caused by repeated assembly or improper fastening, leading to hole deformation and expansion. Minor damage can be solved by adjusting gaskets or replacing larger bolts; serious cases require repairing mounting base or replacing relevant housing components.
