71638 is a special elastic locking component for construction machinery brake mechanisms, gearboxes and hydraulic valve assemblies. It is mainly used for axial limit and anti-falling of springs, pins, pistons and shaft parts, working with spring sleeves, pins or piston assemblies to prevent spring movement, falling off or axial displacement. Made of high-elastic spring steel with stamping forming, it has uniform elasticity and stable clamping force, not easy to loose under vibration, impact and oil conditions, ensuring reliable assembly.

Common Faults & Troubleshooting
- Loosening & falling off: Caused by elastic fatigue or improper installation. Replace 71638 and reinstall correctly.
- Fracture failure: Due to excessive impact or material fatigue. Replace with new retaining ring and check assembly clearance.
- Elastic failure: Elastic attenuation caused by long-term high temperature. Replace retaining ring and improve cooling & sealing.
- Assembly jamming: Twisted or deformed during installation. Replace or correct retaining ring to ensure proper fit.
