The 70201 retaining ring is a special elastic retaining ring (circlip) for construction machinery. Relying on its own elasticity, it snaps into a groove to axially fix components such as bearings, gears, and bushings, preventing movement or detachment under vibration or rotation conditions.

Common Faults and Troubleshooting

Axial movement of components: The retaining ring may be detached, broken, or have lost its elasticity. Replace with a 70201 retaining ring and check the retaining groove for integrity.

Broken retaining ring: Caused by long-term vibration fatigue or improper installation. Replace with a new retaining ring and assemble using specialized retaining ring pliers.

Loose clamping: The retaining ring may be of incorrect specifications or the retaining groove may be worn. Replace with a retaining ring of the original specifications; repair the retaining groove if necessary.

Corrosion and jamming: Harsh environments may cause corrosion and loss of elasticity. If cleaning does not restore elasticity, replace the retaining ring.
